You find God in...
“I find God in my music. When I sing, it brings me peace and joy. If I am depressed, I listen to songs and in no time I’m upbeat. In fact, music is the true reflection of the soul. Sometimes, even people with speech problems can sing flawlessly. That is the power of music. Even when we pray, we sing to Him.

I also find God in the rising sun.”
How do you connect to God?
“Through singing. I sing for Him and not for the people or myself. I am a great believer and go to temples and gurudwaras. For me, my studio is the biggest temple. When I sing there, I just feel His presence. I also connect to God through the innocent eyes of a child. When you look into the eyes of a child, you can see God.”
Karma and kismat to you are...
“My music is my karma. Kismat is the fact that God has blessed me with the power to understand music. If my song brings a smile on people’s faces, then that is my good karma that gets translated into good kismat. Through positive karma, one can direct kismat in the right direction.”

True contentment lies in...
“Be true to yourself. If you are truthful, then your heart is clear. And when there aren’t any negative thoughts in your heart, then contentment comes automatically. I have never craved for awards. I sing for pleasure, to get the blessings of Ma Saraswati. Singing is my passion. It’s my mother and my child too. It teaches me to be clean in my heart, because a person with bad thoughts can never be a good singer.”
